Linda J. Halvorson, 67, of rural Humbird, passed away Monday morning, July 8, 2019, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Linda Joy Halvorson, daughter of Ruben and Lorraine Rodgers was born July 26, 1951 in Eau Claire, WI. At the age of 18 months, Linda’s mother passed away from leukemia and after that she was raised by her father’s parents in Fairchild. She attended school in Fairchild and also received training as a certified nursing assistant. With her training she was employed as a nurse’s aid at the nursing homes in Thorp,
all Creek, Fairchild and Osseo. When she retired at the age of 66 she was working at the Heritage Nursing Home in Black River Falls.
Since the spring of 1991, she was with Marc Halvorson and the two were united in marriage on Oct. 1, 2005 at Peace Lutheran Church in Pigeon Falls, WI. Since 1994 they had made their home in Humbird.

Peter King, age 81, of Eau Claire, WI passed away on July 8, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.

Forrest “Jack” Duane Cagle, age 81, of Black River Falls, WI passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, WI.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Buswell Funeral Home in Black River Falls, WI. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Father Emmanuel Famiyeh officiating. Military Honors will be presented outside of the funeral home.
Interment will be held at a later date in Stambaugh Cemetery in Iron River, MI.

Bruce C. Klatt, 73, of Alma Center, passed away July 2, 2019, surrounded by his family at Dove Healthcare -Osseo.

Bruce was born November 28, 1945, in Neillsville to Chester & Frances (Polus) Klatt. He graduated High School from Alma Center in 1963. He then joined the National Guard, training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Fort Dix, New Jersey.
Bruce started farming in 1965 where he spent the rest of his life. He also drove school bus for Alma Center, Osseo, and Black River Falls school districts for 30 years.

On September 24, 1966 he was united in marriage to Edna Mohr in Neillsville. Together they had seven children. Bruce was a man who definitely had the gift of gab and enjoyed attending auctions throughout the area. He also enjoyed playing cards, spending time with his family, and he loved being a grandpa.
He is survived by his wife: Edna of Alma Center, son: Terry (Connie) of Eau Claire, daughters: Cindy Boos of Trempealeau, Brenda (Michael Bohl) of Chippewa Falls, Pam (Rick) Gilles of Neillsville, Jeanette (Joe Dobson) Dooley of Ettrick, and Rhonda (Matthew) Hazen of Osseo; nine grandchildren; Connor, Zachary, and Brittany Klatt; Brandon and Brianna Boos; Austin Gilles; Cody Dooley and Laura Dobson; Samantha Hazen; brother Tim (Rosie) of Fall Creek; uncle Jerry (Irene) of Richland Center; many nieces and nephews.

Barbara Ann Lisk, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Trempealeau County Health Care Center in Whitehall.

Barb was born on March 13, 1943, in Chicago, IL to Lloyd and Alma (Meske) Lisk. Barb entered the family with a twin brother: Robert Charles, along with siblings Richard Lloyd, June Marie (Lisk) Raimer and Beverly Marie (Lisk) Joseph. She married Gene DeOca on June 3, 1989, at the Courthouse in Joliet, IL. They had 6 sons: Robert, Michael, Thomas, Joseph, Ronald and Richard.

Barb enjoyed crossword puzzles, word find, knitting, and embroidery. She loved to cook, and her specialties were pastries and soup. In 2007, Barb was selected to be the Valentine Queen at Mayo Healthcare Nursing Home in Arcadia. Barb is survived by friends who became family from Arcadia and Whitehall. She will be missed by those who love her.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Trempealeau County Health Care, in Whitehall, at 3:30 PM, with Father Kyle Laylan officiating.
