Obituaries

Emil Schultz, age 83 of Wabasha, MN and formerly of Taylor and Black River Falls passed away on September 11, 2019.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the United Church of Christ of Wabasha. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with Masonic service along with Church of Christ Service at 11:00 AM.

Russell Eli Sheppard, “Rus”, age 79 passed away at home on September 6, 2019 after battle with lung cancer. He is now at peace.

Services will be on Thursday September 12, 2019 at­ 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Black River Falls with Pastor Wendell Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 prior to the service. A private family burial will take place on September 13, 2019 at Riverside Cemetery where Rus will be laid to rest next to his grandson, John Becktel.

Bernita A. Bisek, age 87, of Whitehall, died on Sunday, September 8, 2019 in her
home.


A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 11:00
a.m. in Saint John’s Catholic Church in Whitehall. Burial will be in Ss. Peter &
Paul Catholic Cemetery in Independence.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral
Home in Whitehall where a Christian prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
followed by a parish rosary. Friends may also one hour prior to the service at
the church on Monday.
The Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall is assisting the family with arrangements.

Baby Patricia “Pixie” was born July 2, 2019 in La Crosse, WI to Donita Lockington and Armas Cravins II of Melrose, WI. She gained her angel wings before the sun rose on September 4th, 2019.



She likes cuddling mommy, receiving loves and kisses from her big brothers and sister, loves her milk and homemade blanket.
“Her mommy loves her more than anyone, always and forever.”

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brothers; Elijah Volden, Zane Lockington and Armas “Massi” Cravins III, sister; Anna-Madison Cravins, maternal grandparents; Kelly Lockington and Todd and Cheryl (Tewes) Lockington, maternal great grandmother; Christena Lockington and life partner; Jim Bielfeldt, aunt and uncle; Darren and Lacey (Lockington) Block, Uncle; Donald Arneson, paternal grandparents; Therese Cheryl Giles and Georges and Yelena Cravins, paternal grandfather; Arthur Giles, Aunt and Uncle; George and JeQuette Cravins, Uncle; Jeremy Migner, Jean Luc Cravins, Aunt; Clarina Cravins, Adele Cravins; and a host of loving family and friends.

Keith E. Kenyon, 89, of Sparta, died Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Sparta.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, September 13, 2019 at United Methodist Church, Sparta, with Reverend Loretta Waughtal officiating. Burial with full military honors provided by VFW Post 2112 will be in Mt Hope Cemetery, Sparta. A luncheon will follow at Jake’s Northwoods.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the church.
